I am getting my undergraduate degree in Physics. I am planning to eventually go on to Graduate school where I will be responsible for some teaching. I have experience in teaching one on one. I tutored a middle school student one summer, teaching him Algebra Two during the summer because he was an advanced student. We met 2-3 times per week and I was responsible for making our schedule and assigning and grading homework and tests. I also have some experience tutoring in High school where I was part of a peer tutoring program. Here I helped out younger students with their classes two times per week. |

Dear Administrator:
I am very excited about getting the opportunity to teach English to students in Korea. I have talked with several people who have taught English in Korea and they all have highly recommended the experience. I think that teaching English will give me an experience I can draw on for the rest of my life.
I have some experience with one-on-one tutoring and have taught a small class of middle school students. I also have worked with many people whose first language is not English. I have great patience when it comes to teaching and I am very goal oriented. I am an honest, hard worker who always strives to do the best.
I am applying to this program along with my wife, Hanley Rice. She has experience in tutoring ESL to students one-on-one as well as assisting in an elementary school ESL classroom in North Carolina.
