At this time, the world is connected on a global scale. My undergraduate work in History and American Studies at CU led to the decision to travel and teach in many Asian countries as an extension of these studies. While in Asia I realized that a passion for modern history, love of travel and dedication to my fellow students will be the focus of my career and life’s work.
I found my experience in Korea to be a rewarding one. As a result, I have decided to return and continue teaching ESL with an emphasis on communication in the classroom.

For over two years, I have had the opportunity to live in different parts of Asia teaching English. Looking back, I performed best in my interactions with teenagers. Their learning is enhanced by challenge but inhibited by threat. This requires the teacher to build rapport and provide constant positive reinforcement from the start.
My job in Saigon had impressive teacher development through two monthly workshops and observations. I have been reviewed by all my employers, and my teaching methods have improved as a result. Teaching all ages and skill levels, I am confident in my ability to deliver focused ESL lessons in a comfortable environment.
