Tim Dorman
Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Dear ESL Agent Recruiting Firm,
I have a BA degree in English from Nyack College in Nyack, New York. My emphasis of study was in British Literature. I have now been teaching English in Korea more than a year and a half. I gained experience in a wide variety of ages and English proficiency levels since I have taught Primary School, Jr. High and adult students. In addition to this I taught English at a Japanese English Camp in the Summer of 2008. I also worked on many proofreading and grammar corrections for Korean students.
My previous job was working in an English Village in Ansan, South Korea. I gained valuable experience in this environment teaching in various "real life" scenarios such as a Bank, a Travel Agency and a Hospital. I thought this realistic approach to teaching English was helpful to the students. While I was working with the Ansan English Village I had an excellent rapport with the students and staff there.
I have now begun searching for other teaching positions in Korea, as I really enjoyed my previous experience. I am interested in a school that is in, or close to, Seoul and that allows me to work with older Primary School and Jr High students as I seem to thrive with that age group.
I believe that working at any one of your institutes would be a very rewarding experience for me, the students, and the learning center.
I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Please find my resume and a photo attached.
Yours very truly,
Tim Dorman
