Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to apply for a teaching position at the kindergarten and elementary level. I saw your listing on the Internet indicating that you will have Kindergarten and elementary teacher openings this fall. Please consider me for these and any other early age to elementary positions that may be available.
After graduating this spring with a Bachelors of Science degree in general Biology, I plan on attending graduate school for a career as a Pediatric Nurse, but would like to broaden my professional background as well as gain more experience working with children in many environments. I believe that teaching children may give me many advantages in my future career.
I have had a few years of experience working with children of younger ages, most of which have been volunteer opportunities as outlined in my resume. These opportunities have helped me to further develop my management and organizational skills. They have also allowed me the opportunities to teach children in various living and working conditions
I am looking into this teaching opportunity because I enjoy hard work and helping others find success. I would want my students to experience meaningful, interesting learning that applies to their lives. I believe this can be accomplished through the use of hands-on/minds-on activities, cooperative learning, and integrated curriculum.
