Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ Good Day.

About Me...
My name is Jeff and I have been teaching in South Korea for the past 7 years.  I have a MA in Education and a BA in Sociology.  My experiences while completing a MA in Education at Michigan State University instilled in me an urgency to bring the most of what I have to offer to each and every class, everyday.  I strive to maintain a classroom that meets the needs of the wide-range of learners within it.  I am continually in search of beneficial ways of reaching every student.

My Focus:
As one of my main areas of concentration was Special Education, I have exceptional classroom-management skills along with a strong ability to adapt curricula and materials to students of varying abilities and disabilities.  My second area of concentration, Technology and Learning, has bestowed upon me significant skill in teaching using technology and integrating technology with the curriculum – enabling students to make the connection between our classroom and the world around them.

My Experience:
I have taught students of all ages and abilities, but have now turned my focus to elementary school students as I have found this to be the most rewarding.  I have been teaching within the Korean Public School system (Ancheon Public Elementary School, Seoul) for the past five years, and though I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with this school, I feel that it is time to make the transition into a system that is more aligned with my philosophy of education.

My Objective...
Ultimately, I am hoping to find employment with an international kindergarten or elementary school here in Seoul.  I hunger for the opportunity to work in an educational system designed to challenge students to think for themselves and nurture in them the desire to become life-long learners.

Available to Start...
I will finish my current contract with my school in December of this year.  After a short trip back to the U.S. to get all of my documents in order, I will be available to start in mid-December (anytime after Dec 16th, 2009).

Etc....
I am not one of those teachers who is here on a year long work-vacation.  I love Korea and plan on staying here for a long time into the future.  I am a passionate educator who has dedicated his life to helping children fulfill their potential and am seeking an educational institution that holds these same ideals.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Alan Potter
