I worked as a classroom assistant for 6 months. During this time I was responsible for assisting with daily lesson plans, condusting one to one sessions with students who had minor learning difficulties as well as general administration duties. This experience gave me a great insight into teaching and the confidence within myself that I have the characteristics to make an excellent teacher. |

Dear Sir/madam,
I am writing to you in response to the vacancy for the teaching position which I seen advertised on your website today. I have earned a college degree, majoring in Marketing at Leeds Metropolitan University and have also completed an MSc in Communications, Advertising and PR at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown.
I am extremely interested in a position like yours that will combine the skills and knowledge along with my passion for the teaching industry. I am extremely interested in all areas of teaching and extremely keen on working with children of all age groups. Teaching is an area I have always been incredibly interested in and my teaching assistant experience has taught me how demanding this industry can be. This only interests me more as I enjoy being set challenges and work well under pressure. My interest in the field combined with my enthusiasm for travelling has encouraged me to apply for this position. Working as a classroom assistant gave me an opportunity to experience the day to day role as a teacher and what it entails dealing with different cultures and backgrounds.
I have a variety of skills, all which would be useful in a teaching role. I am an excellent communicator, exceptionally organised, well presented and have excellent time management skills. My degree, various job roles and leisure interests have brought me into contact with a variety of people helping expand these skills. My experience of delegating work assignments and arranging schedules of employees has helped develop my organisational and interpersonal skills. Working as an ¡¯Account Manager¡¯ means often having to deal with difficult customers. In order to guarantee maximum customer satisfaction I have taken great care and pride in all my job roles in providing a friendly, co-operative service to ensure customer loyalty. I am also flexible, a very hard worker and incredibly reliable.
I also am computer literate and fully competent of operating all Microsoft packages. I am capable of learning quickly and can grow with any team or organisation. I feel I would be an ideal candidate for the teaching role as I have the educational background, enthusiasm and the right personality.
The attached C.V. summarises my educational and work experience. Please contact me by phone or mail; I would be keen to speak to you at your earliest convenience.
Kind Regards,
Louise McCallion.
