°ÀÇ°æÇè I graduated with honors from the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies.
Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ I have spent the majority of my life living just outside of Louisville, Kentucky. I developed a strong interest in international affairs while I was in high school in addition to love of the outdoors and exercising. In 2005, I matriculated to the Virginia Military Institute with dreams of becoming a commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Last November, I was injured in a car accident requiring a rod to be implanted in my leg. As a result of my injury I will not be able to serve in the Marine Corps. The injury, however, gives me the opportunity to pursue my interest in traveling abroad and experiencing different cultures.

Other than the four years I spent in college, I have lived my entire life in Kentucky. I love where I grew up, but my home will always be here waiting for me. However, my opportunity to live and travel abroad will not always be there for me. Right now I do not have a family to support or a career to prevent me from  pursuing my desire to go abroad. I want to immerse myself in a culture that is truly foreign to the one I have known for the last twenty-two years. I have traveled to Europe, Canada, and Mexico on vacation, but teaching English in Korea offers the opportunity to explore a whole new world that I have never experienced.

Teaching in Korea will also give me the foreign experience I need to succeed in my future career. I graduated from college with an International Studies degree, but I have no experience living abroad. I plan on using my degree to eventually become a foreign service officer. Teaching in Korea will provide me with the experience I need for my future career as well as help me learn Korean, which is a  language that has been designated a critical need foreign language by the National Security Language Initiative.

My outgoing personality and open-mind will allow me to successfully teach and live in Korea for a year. My ideal job would be located 30-45 minutes outside the city of Seoul teaching elementary and junior high students. I am flexible and will consider other opportunities as well. I am eager to start and would like to begin teaching as early as December. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to working with ESLAgent.net.

Respectfully,

Clayton Willig
