Having recently completed my 1 year term with GEPIK I am fully capable of performing my responsibilities as a ESL teacher. I am familiar with the curriculum and I know how to make any topic entertaining.
I was only in Korea for 1 year yet I was able to adapt to 3 different teaching styles. Every Korean teacher has their own philosophy of how things should be done and I was able to support them. The time I spent at Byeokje/Shinwan/Naeu Elementary I was able to recognize the differences that were needed to gain the students attention. Although there different methods were used I had one philosophy when it came to teaching English –conditioning. During my after school classes students would know my material so well they could reply back to me instinctively without thinking. |
