Hello,
First off, knowing you are busy with many other candidates, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my application.
If there is one thing that gets me worked up and excited every time I think about it, it’s traveling! I love to see and experience new things whenever I have the opportunity, and I find this to be the perfect opportunity for me to do just that. Being a second generation Korean-American, I have a yearned to know what it is like to live in the country my parents originally came from. I have visited on a few occasions as an adolescent but I want to get a fully heart-felt experience of what Korea is. The culture, the people, the food, the nightlife, it’s all something new and exciting to me and I would love to get a chance to know it from an insider’s perspective! Besides getting to know Korea, I want to share my knowledge of the English language and culture to benefit my Korean brothers and sisters in all their future endeavors. With the tough economic times in California, finding a job that can be a positive force in people’s lives is more than difficult at this point. I feel that teaching English in Korea will be a much more rewarding use of my time in the next year. I am a hardworking, professional, responsible, fun loving, animated person with a knack for talking to people. Already having friends who teach in Korea, I know I will be a great addition as an English instructor to any institution. I feel that words on a page can only say so much about a person.
