This letter is to express my interest in a teaching position with ESL Agent. I am currently in Korea on an E-2 visa, and looking to transfer to another school. For the past four months I have been teaching kindergarten and elementary at Kids Club Language School near Seoul, but I realized I wanted to teach older kids only (not kindergarten). I really enjoyed working with the older elementary students, and I felt more effective with them. I thought that their progress was easier to measure than that of the very young students, and so I felt that I was really making a difference with them. I have already spoken with the school and they understand, so it will not be a problem to transfer.
I have a Bachelor¡¯s degree from the University of Florida, and TESOL certification with American TESOL Institute.
Some key strengths that I possess for success in this position include:
• Strong command of the English language, excellent vocabulary and grammar
• Eagerness to teach and learn new things
• Patience and flexibility
• Desire for continued excellence
• Love of working with children
You will find me to be well-spoken, enthusiastic, confident, and personable, and always professional and reliable. I believe that my education and training, along with my teaching experience, makes me a desirable candidate for this position. Attached is my resume and a recent photo.
Sincerely,
Virginia Magary
