Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the position to teach English with your company. I first became aware of this position about one week ago, and since then have been researching your organization a great deal.
I have had four months of teaching experience in China. I taught mainly conversational English to college age students but also taught English to business executives at the LG plant in Tianjin, China as well. Both were great experiences for me because it really showed me how much I loved teaching people and seeing them improve but also it gave me a chance to learn from them and what the Chinese culture is really like. One of the main reasons I want to teach in Korea is so I can get to know who the Korean people are culturally and perhaps even make great friendships with them. The other reason I am excited about this position is that I love seeing people progress and improving in a skill.
As you will see from my attached c.v./resume, I have been a missionary for close to seven years. My missionary background has given me a world perspective to see why teaching English is so important. It is provides people better jobs, easier traveling, and just the opportunity to communicate with people from other countries. I would love to be a part of this for these individuals.
I also have training in design as a landscape architect and for four years maintained and designed the graphics and website for YWAM Charlotte, a mission organization I worked with.
I feel this position is what I have been waiting for and I desire to work with you and gain from your experience.
