Dear Recruiters:
Please accept this letter and the attached resume as my application for an English teaching position in Seoul or Busan, South Korea for your review.
As a certified ESL teacher and an experienced professional I am highly qualified to be an English teacher in South Korea. I hold both a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park and the Cambridge University Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). Additionally, I worked at a corporate proxy solicitation firm for the past year as well as during the seven previous summers so I have a good understanding of what is expected in a professional working environment.
During my CELTA certification seminar I learned advanced teaching methods, planned lessons and taught six hours of English classes to foreign language speakers at three different levels of English knowledge (pre-intermediate, intermediate and upper-intermediate). I also observed and analyzed students' learning styles and assisted students with any difficulties they encountered with the language being used in the classroom. Additionally, I was able to incorporate music (I play the guitar and am a songwriter), overhead projectors and other interactive aspects of teaching into my lessons effectively.
I believe that I can be a teaching asset to any English program in South Korea. I would be happy to interview with you at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and kind consideration.
Sincerely,
Abraham A. Barranca |
