Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ To Whom It May Concern,

Teaching has always been a passion of mine from an early age. I began my teaching career at a young age when I volunteered at a local elementary school.  This furthered my thirst for knowledge and so I went to university. I studied the French language and volunteered part time in a local high school.  Teaching in the classroom coupled with my new enthusiasm for learning a new language is what led me to my current path as an English teacher in Korea.
I came to Korea quite naively thinking that teaching English would be fairly easy. That all I would have to do is speak and everything would be ok. This naivety has certainly been knocked out of me. Teaching in Korea, especially Korea, where the language difference is so diverse has taught me many characteristics while fine tuning my already existing ones
My experience has been mainly in a hag won environments working on my own with little to no supervision.  This challenging environment has made me a very patient person and allowed me to develop ways of using many different communicative forms to get the information communicated.  I have  also had a lot of experience working with a Korean co-teacher as I worked last year at an elementary school twice a week with on average around 25 – 30 children per class. Working with a co teacher is very helpful and I find it a good contrast that can only benefit the children involved.  All in all I think working in both hag won and public school environments and with children of all ages have me well equipped for a life teaching English in Korea and hopefully through your organization this will continue.
Sincerely,
Catharine
