To whom it may concern:
I am a recent graduate from Boston University and I really enjoy teaching. Born and raised in America, I have never spent an extended period of time in Korea, but because of my deep interest in Korean culture, I am eager to live, work, and learn in this country. I absolutely love kids, and, as my resume indicates, I have had previous teaching experience, including teaching English as a second language to Korean students whose native tongue is Korean.
Due to my passion for children, I have been teaching since I was in middle school. I first started my teaching experience as a Vacation Bible School teacher for toddlers and then went on to be a tutor and grader at Kumon Learning Center, which was my very first job. Then I was a Teacher¡¯s Assistant at the Korean-American School of Atlanta for a full school year. I was also a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Immanuel Summer School, where I taught Math, Language Arts, and English Language. Each teaching experience has taught me so much and I would love to continue teaching.
The combination of my work experiences and passion for teaching and children matches the demands of teaching in Korea. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about my application.
Thank you so much for all your time and consideration
Sincerely,
Grace Kim
