To whom it may concern,
I recently graduated from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and I am writing to express my interest in teaching abroad in Korea. After exploring several career options, I realized that teaching overseas is something that would excite me far more than anything else I have discovered. I have always had a strong desire to teach as well as explore another culture, and I believe this is a perfect opportunity to fulfill both of these aspirations.
At Boston College, I developed my communication and leadership skills through a variety of activities and experiences. Combining my diverse experiences such as joining the Jenks Leadership Program, mentoring underprivileged youth at the Boys and Girls Club, and forming teams for the Relay for Life has enabled me to grow as a leader and as an individual. Furthermore, I have demonstrated my ability to multitask through active participation in these extracurricular activities as well as a part-time job while retaining a high GPA; a skill vital to success in teaching as well as life. As an energetic, driven, and passionate young man I see myself thriving in a foreign culture. My strong interpersonal skills and hardworking attitude also contribute to why I would make a great candidate as an E.S.L. teacher.
