My name is Anthony Fox and I am a native English speaker from Australia. I am writing to apply for the English teaching position advertised at your school. I am an experienced teacher with TESOL certifications and believe that I would contribute to the success of your school.
I have one year’s teaching experience in Korea at the Jin Jung Academy in Banyeo-dong, Busan (elementary school and middle school ages). This was from June 2008 to June 2009. In 2008, I completed a TESOL certificate from Teach International (Brisbane, Australia), with electives in teaching adults and children.
As a result of my teaching experience and TESOL certification, I am able to formalize lesson planning as well as deliver communicative lessons. I am practical, compassionate, creative, confident and personable. I want students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in an atmosphere that is stimulating and adaptive to their English-learning needs. I also have an understanding and appreciation for Asian culture having lived in Korea for 1 year and Hong Kong for 5 years.
