Dear Sir/Madame
I am looking for a job in South Korea, preferably in Seoul, as an English teacher. Accompanying this letter is my CV for your consideration.
Since graduating from university (Imperial College, London) in 2007, I have worked at one of the UK’s top media agencies and run my own business selling art. I am now looking for a new challenge. Having visited Korea twice before, I am eager to return and strongly believe that I have the necessary skills and attitude to be a successful English teacher there.
My previous experience of teaching English, at a Summer camp in China (2005), I found hugely rewarding and enjoyable. What I learnt from both this and the TESOL course which I recently completed is that a good teacher is someone who is generous, dedicated and enthusiastic. I believe I possess all these qualities, as well as a strong and conscientious work ethic.
I am excited about the prospect of helping others to learn English. In particular I am looking forward to using my artistic side and creativity to motivate and encourage students throughout the learning process.
