I taught in Yongin, South Korea for 2 years at Feinschule English Academy. I taught kids from age 5 to 8 and taught many subjects such as phonics and language arts.
My 4 year degree is in Political Science. However, after teaching in Korea for 2 years I decided to return to America to begin a Masters degree in Education. I hope to continue teaching English for many years to come. |

Hello~
I am writing in regards to a teaching position through your agency, ESL Agent. It is my desire to work at a school that values good teachers and that strives to provide quality English education. I would be honored to be considered for a position in South Korea.
I have two years of experience teaching in South Korea. During that time, I had the benefit of working side by side with certified teachers who loved their profession. With their advice and feedback, as well as my own experiences in the classroom, I learned a great deal about teaching. The positive experiences I had there motivated me to return to the United States to pursue a Master's in Education – TESOL degree. In this program I have benefited from courses in curriculum design, lesson planning and teaching methodologies, to name a few. I have only 2 classes remaining in the Master's program and have thus far maintained a 4.0 grade point average.
My teaching approach is one in which I plan lessons to meet students' various learning needs and styles. I employ a variety of techniques, such as cooperative learning, to appeal to students' different learning styles. I also incorporate different methods that will interest and motivate students, such as using pictures or other objects that are relevant to the subject matter. I continually look for new ways of enhancing the learning process to help students be successful. I try to make English fun and interesting so that my students will want to continue learning the language.
