Full-time English or SAT Verbal prep. teacher
Seoul
Dear Recruiters,
I wish to be part of your company¡¯s teaching network. I found this job opportunity from an online job board. I am American, born and raised, making me a native English speaker.
As a hardworking print journalism student, I am known for attention to detail, ability to multi-task and quality work under pressure. My presidency of my school¡¯s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists enhanced my understanding of the professional requirements and situations in group leadership. An East Asia Daily News internship in Seoul, South Korea added to my cultural understanding. Finally, my previous position as Assistant News Editor granted me an unshakable confidence in my ability to learn rapidly, be a team player and contribute work of which I am proud.
You will find that my experience as an English tutor for my university¡¯s Center for Excellence in Leadership helped me understand the needs of both teen-aged and middle-aged Korean immigrants learning English. My SAT Verbal score of 800 out of 800 will prove beneficial for students interested in SAT preparation. My conversational fluency in Korean will also help to reassure parents.
Thank you for reading my resume and cover letter. I am eager to begin working in Seoul starting September 1. I hope to personally meet with you. Once again, thank you for your time.
Sincerely yours,
Melissa ¡°Mimi¡± Oh
