How I Plan to Enhance the Development of Students
I am excited about the opportunities and challenges of teaching in a foreign country. I have travelled extensively in Asia and thrive on adapting to new environments and gaining an understanding of local customs. I feel that I will be able to develop personally through the interaction with students in a foreign culture and benefit immensely from being an English Teacher.
I am a confident, professional individual who seeks challenges and is motivated by achieving tangible success. Teaching presents the prospect to be a role model for enhancing the educational experiences of students. I feel that I can help students reach the goals that they want by developing relationships built on mutual trust and respect. I understand the importance of developing English communication skills and techniques as enhancing students’ ability will have a dramatic impact on their future aspirations and success.
I am passionate about education; I feel that being part of the development of students will be a very rewarding experience. A key strength of mine is developing inter-personal relationships, I am confident that I will be able to leverage this ability to create a constructive bond with students. I recognise that my presentation, motivation and approach will influence the learning outcomes of students. I will employ an organised and well thought out structure to my lessons to insure the desired outcomes of each lesson are fully realised.
In my previous teaching experience as a University Tutor in Marketing I was able to develop an interactive learning environment where students expressed their thoughts and opinions. I felt that by using an open format the students considered that they were becoming more knowledgeable in the areas where they required development. This created a two way flow of communication allowing the students to lay a platform from which to expand on basic concepts and theories.
My approach in the classroom will be to nurture students’ practical skills in vocabulary and grammar by practicing activities that are in line with their current needs and interests. Students are motivated by understanding the benefit of what they are doing, I feel that by conducting exercises and covering topical material students’ confidence is greatly boosted as they ascertain the value of the teaching/ I will insure that an environment is created where all students are involved and feel at ease to relate their thoughts and concerns. This style of atmosphere allows the students to realise the maximum of their talents. I believe that by creating such a setting motivates students as they feel they are getting the most out of their time spent in the classroom
I am really looking forward to immersing myself in a classroom context and becoming a successful teacher that students value and trust. I feel my enthusiastic approach to challenges will enable me to be a valuable contribution to your staff delivering real results to students.
