• In this contact centre role I was required to sell new gas and electricity products to existing
customers, resign previous customers, negotiate prices and deal with all aspects of customer
service.

of time, professional attitude and demeanour in sometimes difficult circumstances and ability
to learn quickly were all essential skills for this role.
• I always hit all customer service and sales targets in this role and was top seller on my team
when I left. I was frequently involved with training and helping new staff.

I am a mature graduate looking to begin a new career in teaching, and see the chance to teach in Korea as the ideal opportunity to combine beginning a new career with the experience of living in a different country.
I am a dynamic and fun person who would bring high energy levels to the classroom and would hope to make the experience of learning enjoyable for both the students and myself. I am an independent and self reliant person who has travelled extensively to many different countries and cultures in the past. I have worked abroad before whilst living and travelling around Australia between April 2005 and March 2006. I have also travelled to countries within Asia before, such as Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar, and greatly appreciate and respect the Asian culture and way of life that I have encountered thus far.
I enjoy the adventure of travelling alone and find it easy to make friends in such situations. I have absolutely no worries about moving to a new place on my own, having done so in Australia and greatly enjoyed the experience.
I have experience of working with and providing educational support to children of all ages. I really enjoy working with children and find it hugely rewarding, and as such am very committed to a career within education.
I have spent time talking and seeking advice from friends who are currently teachers or have worked with TESL in the past. I have also began doing so preparatory work for a TESL role by reading some books on teaching and TESL principles. I intend to continue to do this and as I am fully aware that the work will be quite challenging at first, but feel that if I prepare correctly than I will have no problem adapting to the role.
My degree is in journalism and as a published journalist I have had to develop very high standards of written and spoken English. I feel that these skills would be easily transferable to a TESL role and give me a distinct advantage in that speaking and writing correctly are second nature to me, something I would inevitably pass on to student.
In summary I believe I have all the necessary attributes to be very successful within this role and sincerely hope that I am given the opportunity to do so. |
