°ÀÇ°æÇè I have volunteered at two community drumming groups for children, for the past 4 years. Here I assist 5 -18 year olds play the drums, dance and design costumes, for which I can provide a reference.
Within the Brazilian dance and music groups in we have some members with learning disabilities and behavioral problems, they often underachieve at school which leads to disruptive behaviour. Schemes like these incorporate individuals into social situations, activities and projects as well as having fun, this provides a sense of belonging, community and responsibility. I believe this encouragement benefits their health, happiness and self belief. Schemes like this develop talent and confidence, providing them with skills they can then utilise for future employment and gaining work experience.
In recent years, my profession has allowed me to work with a variety of schools in England by way of feasibility projects to enhance children¡¯s dining experience within schools, whilst improving health and wellbeing. This has given me great satisfaction, communicating with pupils and teachers to assist them in understanding their needs and aspirations. By understanding the needs of all the users of school we have improved the dining experience and enhanced the performance of the pupils learning.
Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ I have been planning to move to South Korea for some months now and it is not a decision I have taken lightly. I am very much looking forward to spending the next year and hopefully longer, living and teaching in South Korea. I have done lots of research into your country¡¯s culture, history and customs which all sound fascinating and I cannot wait to experience it firsthand.

My name is Emma Barrow; I am a 26 year old Media Production Graduate BA Hons. I was first introduced to the prospect of teaching English in Korea by a friend who first went to Korea two years ago and hasn¡¯t looked back, the idea has excited me ever since. From what I hear of your country I cannot wait to begin teaching English in Korea and in addition, learn from your culture, way of life and people. I have always loved children and have eagerly anticipated the opportunity to teach since my work experience placement at a local Preparatory school during High School.

This fresh outlook of education and teaching has created a realisation that, although personal satisfaction in voluntary work and working with children on projects to improve their wellbeing is significantly rewarding, my appetite to actually apply my wealth of knowledge to learning minds is unparalleled. I have gained a vast knowledge through years of university and attaining my goals. I have had the great fortune of learning and now wish to share this experience in return for the great life skills I will gain from this experience.
I would find it invaluable life experience to work with children in another country and culture, and to hopefully enrich the children¡¯s lives through sharing experience and the transference of skills in both language and cultures. I very much enjoy in literature, script writing, Music, Art and Design and have an excellent use of the English Language.
Teaching and learning are fundamental to the classroom environment and creating a fun, exciting and open atmosphere will excel these teaching and learning experiences. It is important that the teacher is in control of the class, however striking a balance is crucial. A teacher¡¯s instruction should not take over the responsibilities that the pupils and students have upon the classroom activity. I feel there is valuable importance to the teamwork of a class, allowing opportunity and giving all students and pupils the opportunity to express themselves. Teamwork is fundamental to allow people to learn and grow within themselves, allowing a certain confidence which is unique in every individual.
Developing teamwork will create a harmony within a class, but will also express the unique qualities that each pupil in the class has. Being able to recognise a pupil¡¯s behaviour means that their strengths and weaknesses can be recognised and focused upon, so that the individual can flourish as an independent and within a team.
Cultures and languages are vast and are in all aspects of life wherever we are. It is these experiences of unfamiliarity that are often the most memorable and rewarding. In this instance a class and a teacher may have many cultural differences, however closer inspection upon the individuals within the class will show a ranging demographic, a unique identity to every pupil and student within the class and it is for this reason that we learn and share our experiences, our backgrounds and our individuality.
For every cultural difference, there is always a familiarity, and focusing on these familiarities between individuals, allows us to interact, and learn. Maths, art, design, imagery and expression are just a few subject areas that culture shares familiarity and opinion. To capitalise on this brings about cohesion, teamwork and learning. A classroom that is nurtured through active team work and individual expression is a happy and thriving class, which can only result in a successful learning and teaching.

My current interests, job and my appetite for travel have and will allow me to experience an array of cultures and backgrounds, as a teacher it will be imperative that I identify the needs and requirements of the people I work with, to enable us as a team to make their vision a reality.
I am very excited by the opportunity to combine teaching and travel, I would like to give something to the future generations of Korea and take something back to the future generations of Britain, through the transference of skills and the gaining of knowledge and understanding in return.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to assist me with my ambitions, from my current research Korea seems a fascinating, strong and kind country. I cannot wait to experience your food, national parks, towns, fishing villages, cities, festivals, karaoke, palaces and most importantly the people.

I have my CRC with apostille, valid passport, 4 passport pictures, my degree certificate and 2 sealed University transcripts, so if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

I am available to come to Korea once my visa is processed

I am available for interview between the hours of 5pm to 8:30am British time. Between the hours of 12am and 7am British time, I maybe asleep so my apologies if I am not immediately alert when I answer the telephone at these times.

I look very much forward to hearing from you soon

Thanks again for your time and assistance
