To whom it may concern,
I am applying for the position of Guest English Teacher. I have listed in this letter the reasons why I am a fantastic candidate for you to consider for this position.
First of all, I have experience teaching in South Korea. I worked for the Global Language Institute in Sihwa, Siheung from June 2008 – June 2009. I taught six lessons a day to adults and used a variety of different lesson plans in my teaching. I used conversational questions to improve their everyday English and also I used a number of text books to help improve their vocabulary, grammar and reading. While employed by Global Language Institute I had a good working relationship with the students and management. My letter of recommendation described me as providing ‘…a comfortable and friendly teaching atmosphere that created excellent teacher student relationships’ and ‘He has been a great asset to our Institute’. During my time at Global Language Institute there was a steady increase in the number of enrolments in my class.
My employment history also provides good evidence of my temperament as a good social leader and team player. While employed by a national supermarket chain I was chosen to be Fire, Health and Safety Officer for my store which placed me in charge of all Fire, Health and Safety matters which is indication of my sense of responsibility. Also I was elected by the general staff and management to be a representative on the B.I.G team (Business Involvement Group) which acted as an In-store Union and a communication link between all the different layers of management in the company and my co-workers, this shows how my co-workers trusted me with important issues. Also while working for this company I was a member of a variety of committees; Sports and Social Committee, and the Charity Committee. Also I was one of six in-store first aiders.
I gained a Bachelors Degree with Honours from UWIC University in Cardiff in the UK.
I believe all the for mentioned points in this letter would qualify me to be an ideal candidate and asset to your school.
