I completed an internship while in college. During this internship, which lasted 4 to 5 months, I was tutoring and mentoring young elementary age children with their studies. |

To whom it may concern,
I am interested in teaching English in South Korea for a number of reasons. First, I want to experience life outside of the United States to gain a more broad understanding of the world. Second, I want to make a positive impact on Korean students, and also to positively represent the US to others.
My main strengths are determination and honesty. I have a strong desire to succeed at different tasks that come before me in my life. I believe living and working in a foreign country would present a challenge that would show my determination as I work to assimilate into another culture. I am honest when I make a mistake. However, what I gain from making mistakes is experience in knowing how to not to go about carrying out a task. I take every mistake in my life, treat it as a learning opportunity, and do not repeat the mistake.
My goal is to begin to gain an understanding of the Korean culture and become accustomed to life outside of the US. I would like to have a positive impact on the lives of my students as I teach English.
I would expect an employer to treat me fairly and help guide me when I teach at their institution. I would not expect someone to guide me through every single process, but rather help me when I come to a challenge that may be too large to handle on my own at first.
I look forward to us further discussing my qualifications as well as discovering more about the opportunities in South Korea.
Very truly yours,
David K. Loudermilk
