My main duty was to teach Korean students the basic understanding of English and being able to communicate clearly. The age group I worked with was 3 to 12 year olds. I was also responsible in planning class activities and monthly test for the older students.
London Luton Airport (1st April 2007- 14th April 2007)
Assisting customers in the airport about baggage information, such as how much they are allowed to take and what products they are not allowed to take on the plane. We also worked as a team so that each person in the team knew what was happening if they were not in the same place as me.
University of Bedfordshire (15th January 2007- March 2007)
My main duty was to telephone graduates of the university; on which they had just achieved there degree in the summer. We were getting in touch with them as they had not sent back their questionnaire. We would ring them and ask them questions from the questionnaire; the questionnaire was enquiring about what they have been doing since they left the University. With the data gather would help the university career centre keep track with career goals.
Camp Blue Bay (camp America) 26 June 2006 – 18th August 2006
My duties was to was to supervise children between the ages of 6 – 16 years where I worked with 5 other girls as a team.; on which we would be in charge of them all day and to make sure they are safe and having fun at the camp. I worked with 5 other girls as a team. Our daily routine would be to wake children up in the morning and making sure they are on time to breakfast and that they are having as much fun as possible with the activities we plan out for them on a daily routine. We would also have to be energetic and up to do new things for the kids.
Age Concern (Work experience October 2005 – April 2006)
My main duties at Age Concern was office based which included me answering important telephone calls and taking the information down and then passing it onto the current staff, using the computers to update Age concerns information, working in the tea room and going out on visits with the social workers.
ASDA Leicester march 2003 till August 2004
Working on tills, keeping the store clean and tidy, taking new and old stock out, stock take, reducing old clothes for sales, helping customers with any problems and ringing other stores for customer items.
Val Jones Nursery (Work experience from College)
Looking after children between 6 – 18 month; changing nappies, dressing them, giving them their food and feeding them. I also had the privilege of planning activities which would improve their development skills.
Ive had at least 14 months working as an English teacher in South Korea. I was teaching children from the youngest 4 to the oldest 12; korean age.
