I am a qualified ESL teacher and I would like to apply for a teaching position at your school. This summer I returned from teaching in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
I have always had a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. With experience working with students of all ages and abilities, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. I have one years experience teaching at a kindergarten level in the UAE.
As well as, two years part-time experience teaching art to primary and secondary level students.
I have had to deal with mixed ability classes many times and managing the difference of abilities among my students proved a difficult, but satisfying, challenge. I tailored activities to maintain the interest of students with out intimidating less skilled students .
I have just completed my ESL teaching qualification course at the international house in Dublin, Ireland. With my experience of teaching and studying in other countries I believe it has made me more resourceful, creative, and versatile. Coupled with my genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a wish for all my students to grow academically, emotionally, and socially I feel I could be a welcome addition to your school.
