My Psychology major and Community Health minor strengthened my interpersonal and communication skills. My education provided me the foundation in understanding what people want, and I apply this knowledge into all my endeavors. During my time at Wells Fargo and Mervyns, not only was I responsible for selling products and assisting customers, but I was successful at my job because of my ability to establish positive relationships. My talent in reading customers and their needs is a reflection of my dedication to my job, my excellent persuasion skills, but most importantly a solid example of how I apply the skills I’ve acquired from my major. I’m a fast learner and every experience I’ve had makes me a well rounded candidate for this job.
Aside from the skills I’ve acquired from my major, I also enjoy organizing, planning and coordinating, and perform well when I multitask. I thrive in a fast paced environment which attracts me to jobs such as the ones I pursued in Nielson Media and American Intercontinental University. I am detail-oriented and strive to be the best employee I can be by going above and beyond what I’m expected. Thus the opportunity to continue working in such an environment excites me. I can handle multiple tasks and appreciate a challenge to prove to my employers I can, and will, succeed.
