Dear Director of the ESL agency
“Joy”, which stood out during my search for a job in my motherland, helped me think about the possibilities of “joy”, “happiness”, and further down the chain “purpose”, in teaching and interacting with students and the community in Korea. I have pursued research in the field of biochemistry for my love and passion for human medicine during the four years in Michigan State University. I plan to attend medical school in hopes for becoming a medical doctor to help infants and adolescent kids in need of medical attention. With this in mind, teaching English to students in Korea enables me to interact closely with students and understand the medical system of Korea.
Throughout my four year education in Michigan State University, I have tutored students in the area of math and science (combined) for nearly 2 years. I have been properly trained via university personnel and have been recruited on the 2nd year based on my 1st year performance. Besides the academics of my tutees, I have maintained a high grade point average (gpa) while having two jobs during each academic semesters. I have also worked hard to help out the Korean community by leading Korean youth group by preparing bible study material, leading bible study groups, and leading as a praise band leader. In essence, I am ready to teach with passion for the benefit of the younger/future generation.
