Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼­ I started my teaching career holding informal classes for the Korean and Japanese exchange students at the University of Maryland. At the behest of those students, I pursued teaching full-time. I was hired to teach adults for a small ESL school called Academia Ingles near my university. I loved the experience and decided to try teaching abroad, ultimately landing a job teaching children in Korea for an English in Junggye-Dong.
I have been teaching for two years now, moving on to my third year.  I am currently in Korea and creeping up on my one year mark here. My students range from ages 5 to 12 and most of them have had little experience with English before my class. I have really enjoyed working in Korea and to put it simply, the character, skill set and potential that I have can only help to make your faculty and staff that much stronger. I am extremely enthusiastic about being apart of your program.
I believe writing is the most important ability any student can acquire at any educational institution. There is a reason that most major academic tests comprise of a writing component and that is because writing can be one of the most honest and informational windows into the mind. I have voluntarily undertaken projects during my college career to improve my writing; from writing workshops, to speech writing seminars, to successfully completing three different honors theses.  One of which, I presented at CHASA, which stands for Chesapeake American Studies Association, a conference that deals with a broad range of topics from academics from a myriad of different fields. I am anxious to create strong writers out of your students.
My goals are to find a place where I can stay for 3 or 4 years. I am looking for long term placement. I have aspirations to complete my masters at Korea University and continuing teaching at the university level for the years to come. I would really like to follow up with you in a few days to answer any questions you may have about me or to meet in person.
