Dear Sir or Madam:
If given the opportunity I would be a great asset as an English teacher. I have extensive experience teaching in Korea and am interested in offering my unique skill set. I feel that my talents as a native English speaker from America coupled with my precise accent, would make a valuable contribution.
Teaching English in Yongin, South Korea, (outside of Seoul), I was responsible for classrooms of students of various ages. This included teaching kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Adults. One of the more important accounts I handled was that of GS Construction Company, whose local executives were required to learn English. I often used Microsoft PowerPoint, among other tools, as a visual aid and communication touch point.
Working as an Account Coordinator for Structure Interactive (West Michigan’s largest web design company), I was in charge of performing data research with WebTrends for the Dow Chemical Corporation. It was also my responsibility to develop site maps and production schedules in coordination with Account Executives. This process called for my familiarity in OmniGraffle and Microsoft Office to fulfill company goals and objectives. In addition to those tasks, I was also required to monitor various websites to address corrections or related problems, and to assist in client communication needs, both written and orally.
As a designer for Bird Design, I utilized my talents in both print and web media using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Flash. The large number of different projects I oversaw required me to multitask and incorporate a number of different avenues to obtain a successful final product. It was also vital to the company to utilize my ability to research information through a variety of internet resources to obtain marketing goals.
