I am currently a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. In addition, I am privately tutoring six children all ranging from kindergarten to seventh grade on English reading and writing topics. For each tutoring position, I meet the students four times a week for an hour. During my college years, I have also spent time as a teacher assistant for a language arts after-school program. I spent three days a week for an hour working to improve third graders' reading comprehension and writing abilities. |

ESL Agent
To Whom It May Concern:
As a graduate from The University of Georgia, majored in International Affairs, I find the available position as an English teacher at Korean institutions in Seoul most appealing. During my second trip to Korea, I realized the significance of teaching and learning English. I tutored and appreciated my ability to enhance younger children’s reading and writing skills.
The past four years of my undergraduate career consisted mainly of taking upper division humanity courses, which all emphasized demanding literature comprehension and composition capability. I have spent most of my college years developing and advancing these skills towards improving my own English reading and writing aptitude. As a result, I was able to volunteer as a teacher assistant to facilitate a stimulus learning environment for third graders’ language arts after-school program. In addition, I am currently involved in three private tutoring positions that require easy-to-understand reading and writing instructions. My students range from one kindergarten, two first graders, one second grader, one fourth grader, and one seventh grader all commanding different level of lessons that fits to each student.
My past experience of learning English as a foreigner allows me to be a better candidate to teach others English, since I went through similar incident. When I was five years old, I moved to the United States. As a result, I had to learn and sometimes self-teach myself English in order to excel in American schools. I am certain that my academic and professional backgrounds will help me succeed in a teaching English position.
