Please accept this letter and the enclosed resume for an ESL teaching position. I am confident that my education, personality and experience provide me with the necessary tools to successfully fill this position. I am an outgoing, friendly and skilled communicator with a strong background in developing and delivering educational programs and workshops as well as coaching.
I graduated from Confederation College in 2007 with a Business Administration-Accounting diploma (GPA 3.98) and will graduate with a Bachelor of Management degree through Athabasca University in April 2009.
I am currently working in the capacity of Business Development Counsellor and Team Leader at PARO Centre for Women`s Enterprise. My responsibilities include developing and implementing educational programs and workshops, delivered in a classroom setting, through computer technology and via individual counselling sessions. I am experienced coaching children aged 4-9 in groups of up to seven in gymnastics. My roll as coach was to plan and execute activities, create a fun environment while obeying the club¡¯s health and safety rules to ensure safety for all children. I also worked in a high school as special education assistant. In this role I worked with teenaged students with special needs. I supported those individuals in the completion of their school work and assignments.
As I am a very fit individual, working out regularly in a fitness club and I am very passionate about TaeKwonDo (soon to be tested for black belt). I am very much looking forward to living in Korea, passing on my language skills and cultural experiences from Canada to individuals there while learning more about the Korean culture and language.
I am looking forward to an interview with you.
Sincerely,
Anke Starratt
