Jessica McGhee
Dear Sir or Madam:
I began my teaching career at School of Tomorrow in Seoul, South Korea. I have been teaching students between the ages of 5 to 15 years old. My usual schedule consists of teaching pre-school classes in the morning and elementary/middle/high school students during the afternoon. I have been working at this school since March 2008. Since my employer and I were both mutually happy with my performance, I decided to extend my contract for an extra four months. My last day at School of Tomorrow is on Friday, 3 July 2009. I will be returning home to The States for the month of July, at which point I will be available for a new position as of 3 August 2009.
I believe an effective teacher must provide a positive and enthusiastic learning environment for second language learning and students¡¯ individual growth and progress. My main goals as a teacher are to be supportive and accommodating to each student, whilst maintaining an organized and dynamic classroom environment, which will appeal to all students and motivate all of their different learning styles. I am committed to being patient, encouraging participation, and helping students reach their full potential.
Teaching is a career, which I have always been passionate about and I look forward to a new, challenging experience. My diverse educational, employment, and volunteer background has prepared me with the skills, responsibility, and motivation to teach English overseas. I have spent many years abroad, living, studying, and working in an array of different cultural environments. I adapt easily and am always open to new challenges and exciting endeavors. I pride myself on my passionate and vibrant outlook, self-motivation, attention to detail, and organization. I believe these characteristics will enable me to succeed in teaching ESL to a wide variety of students.
I have enclosed my resume, which will provide an outline of my education and experience, but certainly do not adequately convey my enthusiasm for teaching. I appreciate your time and consideration in reviewing my application and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Kindest Regards,
Jessica McGhee
