I am pleased to submit my resume for consideration as an Elementary School English teacher at one of your institutions. I am currently completing my last courses towards a Bachelors degree in International Business Administration and Marketing at American Intercontinental University, which will end May 31st, 2009. Over my years as a student, I have proactively participated in many extra-curricular activities to enhance my knowledge. I strongly believe that my knowledge and willingness to be a devoted instructor will be an exceptional benefit for the students at your institutions of learning.
As my resume will demonstrate, I have experienced a variety of wonderful opportunities and skills throughout my years of college. My ability to take on unfamiliar challenges with creativity and dedication has been proven to be extremely success in every instance. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well-rounded, responsible individuals.
My greatest strengths would include being creative, patient, and motivational in the classroom. I have found that actively engaging with students in a variety of enjoyable activities and projects help demonstrate the connections between subject matter and every day life. Coming from two culturally diverse backgrounds – my mother is South Korean and my father is Trinidadian, I understand and have seen the challenges with learning a new language. With this in mind, students must gain a strong self-confidence and carry a high self-esteem with reinforcement from their instructors and home.
