As a 4th grade teacher I was an intricate part of the success of twenty+ students. Organization and communication with students, parents, and staff were key in the success of our school. Being able to balance and adjust each day accordingly no matter what changes had to be made was a skill that was quickly enforced. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, and a state of Florida teaching license that is ESOL Endorsed. With over three years of classroom experience, and the desire to provide all students with exceptional education, I am confident in my ability to be an effective and valuable asset to your school district.

As my resume will demonstrate, my teaching career has been geared toward the empowerment of elementary school children. I have a contagious passion to instill a love of education while creating opportunities of choice. My goal is to guide the maturation of young minds into responsible, caring, independent, and productive individuals. Throughout the course of my career, I have had multiple opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those whom are English language learners, as well as those with learning disabilities, those whom performed at grade level, and those who were gifted/exceptional. As a result, I have become proficient at planning and applying creative and engaging lesson plans. Students learn best when all of the multiple intelligences are practiced. The use of technology and hands on learning can enhance learning while keeping students interested and focused.

My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students. I actively engage their eager minds by incorporating a multitude of manipulatives, exciting and fun activities, and cooperative learning. In addition, I customize my lessons to meet the needs and interests of the students. Learning must connect to the real world to make learning purposeful and useful. Furthermore, I keep continuous open communication with parents by holding parent and teacher conferences on a regular basis. Educational success for each student is a team effort. Communication of the student, parent, and teacher are important to reinforce education expectations in the home and increase students¡¯ self-confidence and self-esteem academically, behaviorally, and socially.
