CONTRACTING IN VARIOUS SOUTH KOREAN LOCATIONS
Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ Greetings,

I have been considering coming back to the beautiful country of Korea, to teach again.  I left in 2004 after being there for approximately 3 years. I had so many wonderful experiences there in Gwangju and Seoul. I was blessed to have wonderful employers who took excellent care of me, in exchange for the excellent instruction I provided to their students.

I am Canadian citizen, but presently I am residing in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I¡¯ve been here for 4 years and have permanent residency (green card).  I have been teaching ESL to members of the Korean business community and instructing at the college level since I arrived.

I am looking for a university or public school teaching position in the Seoul area. I have two Bachelors of Arts, one in Communication and the other in Journalism.  I have over 10 years teaching English as a Second Language experience.

Although, regular class work requires instruction and clarification regarding reading, writing, grammar and spelling, I specialize in helping my students noticeably improve their pronunciation difficulties.  That is what my students most commonly praise about my classes. Students often tell me that because of my class / teaching style, they are finally able to pronounce words that had been difficult for them for several years. I understand the challenges Koreans often have with particular letters and words in the English language and I am not afraid to address this and work towards improvement. I am very much interested in teaching pronunciation classes.

I have attached my resume which should accompany this e-mail.  After reviewing my resume, if you feel that I may be an asset to your institution, please contact me either by e-mail or phone.  I am not in a rush to find employment and I will be taking my time, finding that terrific opening.  Please feel free to hang-on to my resume for an extended period of time, until an employment opportunity arises or even you may forward my resume to another possible employment opportunity.

Thank you for your consideration and review.

Sincerely,

Tassey
