Dear admissions committee,
I am writing to express my interest in becoming a teacher for your program. I am extremely passionate about teaching English to second language learners as well as improving my skills as a second language teacher. I am currently enrolled in a Master¡¯s program at Seoul National University¡¯s College of Education for Applied Linguistics and TESOL. I hope to push the boundaries of what¡¯s currently plausible in second language acquisition.
As you can tell from my resume, it has been a few years since I took teaching ESL somewhat seriously. Before that, I was en route to a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I discovered my passion for second language acquisition two years into my doctoral program. I haven¡¯t looked back since then. I am always questioning and learning new ways to improve the way we can make learning a second language easier and more fun.
I have excellent references and would be delighted to discuss any possible vacancy with you at your convenience. Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Henry Jun |
