In my final year of high school, I organised a part-time Russian language and culture class for 11 year old students. The class aimed to introduce students to both the basic language and also educate them on the Russian culture. As a fluent Russian speaker I organised and planned all the lesson plans, and each lesson was centred around a topic, for example: music, school and literature. The average class size varied between 20-30 students and would last for one hour a week.
I am currently working part time in a private elementary school, as a support language teacher. This position involves assisting an 8 year old Russian student with improve his English abilities in order for him to keep up with the rest of the class. The class is small, with only 10 students, and 3 teachers. |

Dear ESL Agent,
I am interested in starting work in January 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter.
I moved to the UK from America aged five years. Now a British citizen, I have been in London ever since. English is my first and most natural language, though I am also fluent in Russian. My accent, however, is firmly British.
In 2010 I ran a Russian language class to English students at my school. I have graduated this year from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Psychology. As you will see from my CV I am currently in the process of completing an internationally accredited 150 hour TEFL course.
In my spare time I like to travel and I love cooking different cuisines, the two of which go hand in hand. I very much enjoy Korean food and it is somewhere I have wanted to visit for a long time, so that is one less thing to worry about! I haven’t been to Korea before but I have a Korean friend and the prospect of going really excites me. The fact that I have done some formal teaching before will serve as a foundation to build upon as I embark on a new journey in Korea. I hope that you can help me in my search for a suitable teaching role in Korea and I look forward to hearing back from you.
