As previously mentioned, I have taught figure skating lessons to students ranging from 5-over 18. During my time as a Pilates and Yoga instructor, my classes were filled with college students and faculty members. I have recently begun teaching for an e-learning school, and I have been teaching adult students for four months now. |

I decided South Korea would be the right choice for me because of the culture and the people. My ideal location would be Daegu so that I could spend time walking among the Buddhists and visiting Confucian temples, while still enjoying all that a metropolitan city has to offer. I have spent time coaching figure skating lessons and instructing group fitness classes, and I look forward to working with children again. They are the most fun to work with and the most receptive to learning a new language. I have always loved teaching children because of their youth and vigor. It is an amazing feeling watching them grow and learn. They bring life to classes and lessons and they are the future of the world
I have enjoyed sharing the knowledge I have with others, and I want to encourage my students to learn English in a happy and safe educational environment. I have a passion for the English language and find joy in proper sentence structure, grammar, and spelling. I believe the key to teaching anything, especially another language, is to have patience. Through all of the other facets that I have gained teaching experience, I have found making lessons fun and interesting keep students engaged and motivated. Although I am new to teaching English, I look forward to learning from the Korean teachers I will meet and expanding my teaching knowledge. I believe the best learning happens when students are having fun and feel at ease. In this environment, it is easier to build confidence. I want to make sure that students do not find classes threatening and relieve them of any stress or anxiety they may have with learning a new language. I want to help my students stay motivated and reach their goals. I¡¯ve heard that Korean students are very diligent and I look forward to helping them make sentences and speak English with confidence through games, role-playing, multimedia, and other enjoyable activities. I am open to learning new teaching techniques from my co-workers, and look forward to picking up new teaching techniques.
I am motivated to teach ESL because I want to try something new and exciting. I look forward to encountering cultural differences while in South Korea. I believe life is an adventure and I intend to enjoy every moment. I can¡¯t wait to be immersed in South Korea¡¯s Eastern culture and tradition. As a figure skater, I traveled across the United States and enjoyed the opportunity I had to meet other people and to be immersed in other towns and cities. I enjoy interacting with and learning from other cultures, so in college I majored in International Studies and Diversity Studies. I learned about other cultures, religions, and regions and would now like to further my experiences by traveling abroad. I look forward to teaching my native language to students interested in learning it as their second language. I think this is a great opportunity for myself and for any students of mine. I feel I have the right attitude, education, and ideas necessary to be beneficial to the students and to the English program as a whole.
