To whom it may concern: I am applying for the position of English teacher in South Korea because I want to learn more about the younger generation in Korea, the language, and culture. I would love to be in a more rural area since it would force me to quickly adapt to Korean culture and society. I feel Seoul, as a major city, has many Koreans who have learned English and speak relatively well compared to the southern regions of the country. In the future, I hope to study Korean art and continue to improve my Korean language since I plan on going to graduate school. My top choice is Seoul National University. If I get this opportunity to be part of the Teach and Learn in Korean (TALK) program, it would help prepare me for my future career.
