°ÀÇ°æÇè Although my teaching experience is limited, I do feel I have the abilities to take up this endeavor. During my service as an AmeriCorps member at the Community Service Society of New York (resume), I served as both a program coordinator and academic tutor for a youth mentoring/tutoring program. It was a pilot program so therefore I was very involved in both developing our curriculum as well as creating my own lesson plans. For eight months I trained senior citizens (ages 65+) on how to be youth mentors for children of incarcerated parents. My training schedule was four hrs/day/2x a week. The classroom size was medium (15-20 students). During this time I also served as one of the youth mentors and academic tutors because we had a shortage of volunteers. I tutored four teenage students ages 14-18 in the subject areas of English (reading and writing) for 2-3 hrs/day/1-2x a week.

My employment also included speaking in front of large crowds at recruiting and outreach events. From my total experience I not only gained the ability to teach and train students of various age groups but also gained the confidence for public speaking.
Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ I am a recent college graduate looking to work as an ESL instructor in Seoul, South Korea. I was born in the U.S. but am Korean therefore a native English speaker. My Korean language skills are limited. I graduated from Fordham University (New York, NY) with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude. I double majored in Political Science and Communications-Journalism. My studies not only helped me expand my critical faculties as a student but also my writing and grammar skills.

I also am available for Law School Admissions Test tutoring for Korean college students looking to apply to U.S. law schools.

My interests include politics, international affairs, and American law. In addition to my academic interests are my health interests. I am kind of a health nut. Running is my passion and have ran many half-marathons in the past. I do not smoke. I do not have long hair. I do not have any tattoos.

I would like to work in Seoul, preferably, in the Sinchon/Hongdae area (near Yonsei University) but am open to other areas within Seoul.

I have my passport (F4 VISA), additional photos, sealed/stamped transcript and criminal background check (apostilled). I am available for employment as soon as late-January 2009/February 1. However, I can only offer my services through August 10th , 2009. The reason for this is because I was recently accepted into law school and will be attending in late August 2009. Therefore I am willing to give up any severance pay and am willing to give up half of the vacation days. I will also pay for my own return airfare (one-way). Please seriously consider my offer and let me know your response. Please email me to set up a time for a phone interview. The best time for phone interviews are between 8:00 p.m.- 12a.m. New York. My contact info is in my resume. Thank you.
