In my current workplace, I work with students between the ages of 11 and 15, most of which are preparing to go to an international high school. I have taught TOEFL writing and speaking classes to students in middle school, and storybooks and Time magazine to students in both elementary and middle schools. I prepare daily lesson plans and class materials for each class. Since most of the classes I teach are built on speaking and writing, I have led debate and essay writing classes. Here in Korea, I found my love for teaching young and motivated students who are so eager to learn.
In my past workplaces in Canada, I have gained the knowledge in working with, supervising, and motivating, both students and adults between the ages of 15 to 60 who have come to a new work environment. In my current workplace, I am learning to organize and plan meetings and other various administrative tasks. I believe that these administrative skills, along with motivating and supervising skills will be an asset both when preparing, and delivering lesson materials to students.
As a university student who pursued a double major, I learned time management and organizational skills to maximize productivity. Also, studying in the field of Medical Sciences has enabled me to organize and clearly deliver various scientific discoveries through written, oral, and poster presentations. I am confident that I would be an excellent candidate for this position due to my education background and work experience. |
