Hello,

My name is David Davis. I am from London England. I have lived in Canada, New Zealand and Australia (currently a Permanent Resident Australia).
I have a Bachelors of Applied Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Botany (DNA material transferred into plants) four years of university and TESOL 4 qualification.  Also a masters in Hair Design, (Guild of Hair Design, Toronto,  Canada).

I have recently returned to Australia after a year of esl teaching in Sth Korea. I lived and worked in or around Bucheon-Si, Geyonggi-Do Sth Korea where I taught in KBK Hagwon (See reference letter) until 31st March 2008. I also held a teaching position at Sukchon Elementary School  after  school  program  where  I  taught  Creative Writing to middle and Junior  High School student. On April 17 I left the afternoon component of the afternoon  program at Sukchon Elementary to take up a position at Bucheon International English Village (BIEV) until July fourth 2008. At the same time I was asked to remain as a native  teacher for eight hours a week in the morning class program at Sukchon Elementary School. At BIEV  I filled a teacher vacuum while their new I year native teacher contractee completed all of the Korean government requirements for a native teacher  coming  from  overseas.

After leaving BIEV I conducted at three summer camps:

                  1)  Eveland: A one day camp
                  2)  Muju: A four day camp
                  3)  Gwanan: (Korean  Post Office Summer camp) A five day camp.

I enjoy a good relationship with Korean children, young students and adults alike and like a friendly and comfortable workplace environment. I can work as an individual or as a team player.

Due to Australian Government resident regulations I have returned to Australia for eight weeks or  so. My current Police check  was issued  on  November 14th  2008  and  is  valid  until  14 February  2009.

I  have  character  references  both  from  Korea and  Australia.

My interest, other than teaching, is in Art, Music & cultural things, F1  motor racing, Soccer, Tennis and Nature.

Although I am of senior age it has not worked against me during this last year ~~ perhaps only at the recruitment level where there seems to be a culture of mis-understanding (Public school age restrictions excepted).

In fact at both Kindergarten and Sukchon Elementary School I enjoyed a caudial relationship with children and had a great relationship with my Korean co-teachers.  So if  you  decide  to  respond  to  this  resume posting please  guarantee  me  two  things:

          a)  You have a sound 1 year contract offer for me.
          b) That any school you are representing has a good reputation and requires good
teaching and does not think of or treat the native teacher as a commodity.

Please take these comments with the best of intentions.

Regards
David Davis
