Dear Sir or Madame,
I am applying to your company with the hope of acquiring an ESL teaching position in Seoul, Korea. I look forward to the opportunity to live and work in Asia. I have not traveled outside North America and am excited to explore new opportunities.
Last year, I completed a Bachelor Degree in Education at Nipissing University. While there, I studied in the area of Primary/Junior education (grades K-6). I completed teaching placements in Kindergarten, Grade 3 and Grade 6. I then furthered my education in the summer by taking additional qualifications in Special Education and became qualified to teach Intermediate students (grades 7-10).
I currently reside in Fernie, British Columbia, where I enjoy the active mountain lifestyle. While in Fernie, I have spent a 5 to 10 hours a week volunteering at the local elementary school. I work with children ranging in ages from 4-11 years of age. I enjoy working with a wide range of ages, but feel drawn to younger students.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I feel that my enthusiasm and talent for teaching could be put to use in a wide-variety of capacities and hope that a position can be found.
Sincerely,
Adam Brown
