Dear Sir /Madam,
I am writing to enquire if you have any teaching vacancies in your schools. I enclose my CV for your information.
Despite not having any practical teaching exposure I believe my commercial experience to date has provided me with relevant skills, which would be useful in a classroom situation. Firstly, having worked with children right through to company directors I am comfortable communicating with all levels. The confidence I have gained through extensive sales experience can be used effectively in the classroom. Examples of this are through sales pitches, client meetings and presentations to senior management, all of which have been key requirements of my job.
I am in the process of completing a TEFL qualification, which combines teaching practice and grammar awareness. My degree in history and education to date has given me extensive knowledge of English language. Studying French for seven years has made me very grammatically aware.
Employment post-university has allowed me to demonstrate determination, versatility, and a will to succeed in any task. On reflection I now want to pursue a more rewarding path and focus more on my interests.
