Hello my name is Jody Cooper and I have completed my B. Sc. in Geology degree on October 29th 2008 from Saint Mary’s University in Nova Scotia. I have worked in the field of geology throughout my time at university. During my final year of study I was a teaching assistant for a geology course which included preparing materials and aiding students in the general concepts of earth science, this teaching sometimes required great patience when explaining difficult concepts, and also included restructuring my explanation to aid in the students understanding of the concept. I also completed three co-op work placements throughout my time at university; these three work placements included field work in remote areas with a small scientific team. This time in the field gave me the opportunity to cope with working in isolation as well as working intimately with others after only a short time.
