Ä¿¹ö·¹ÅÍ/À̷¼ To Whom It May Concern,
I am interested in advertised position of English Teacher in South Korea.
I have experience working, in China, as an IELTS teacher and an EAP teacher. I have taught university, middle school and at private institutions in China.  I was in China for five years, working in a variety of educational institutions and age groups. Prior to that, I spent 17 months working in Korea, working with, predominantly, children.
During my time working overseas I have refined my skills in teaching, as well as lesson planning, and importantly, resourcing and applying information from different locations, especially the internet.
I am keen on travelling and experiencing other cultures. I am mature, well presented and well educated and I feel I have demonstrated my formal qualifications plus my life experiences hold me in good stead as a teacher in South Korea.
I have experienced working and living in different cultures and find no problems adapting. I have had experience working with people for whom English is not their first or second language and have little problem relating and communicating with younger people. I am keen to gain some language skills and further insight into Korean traditional and modern music. \'Crying Nut\" is still one of my favorite ever bands. I have a genuine interest in popular music, film and popular culture and like incorporating these, effectively, into my teaching.
I wish to return to South Korea, as I liked living in Korea. It is a land of stark contrasts, new and old, city and country. I like the bustle of the cities and the serenity of the country and I am sure I would soon buy another bicycle to give me more independence. I have fond memories of Korean food, undoubtedly the best strawberries in the world, and shopping, especially Dongdaemun. I made good friends in South Korea, and am still in regular contact with some.
Location is not important. I was in Ilsan, which I liked as Seoul has such an outstanding transport system. I would have no concerns about living in smaller places or even rural areas. I have proven, I can survive in a foreign country. I really have no preference for age, as I have already taught a wide range of ages. If I was asked to choose, maybe grade school would be my choice.
I would state it is unlikely I would seriously consider any position, which does not offer single accommodation and air conditioning, although this could be negotiable.
My resume and recent photograph, recent references, a scanned copy of my passport, transcript and Bachelor of Arts degree from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand are all available.  I am able to provide references, in English, from employers in China. I have two sealed copies of my academic transcripts and my certified criminal clearance. My passport is valid until 2011.
I am able to supply any further information as may be required and would be available for an interview at your convenience.
Under normal circumstances, I would be available for employment by mid-July and receiving an appropriate visa
Yours sincerely,

Ray Alcock
